1. Paper mario

The game's story focuses on Mario as he tries to get the seven Star Spirits, who happens to be sealed in playing cards by Bowser and his assistant, Kammy Koopa.

Originally developed as a sequel to Super mario RPG on super nintendo. Its turned based combat does a great job at keeping the player engaged with the whole timing attack system. Check this game out if you are a fan of rpgs in general.

2. Super smash bros

It is a 1999 crossover fighting video game that was developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64.

It was first released in Japan on January 21, 1999, in North America on April 26, 1999, and in Europe on November 19, 1999.

Unlike other fighting games, Super Smash Bros. allows you to team up with a computer partner and take on other teams in both single and multiplayer modes.

There are 14 stages in the single-player mode.

The game includes twelve playable characters from popular Nintendo franchises.

It also includes mini games like break the targets adds to its run time if you choose to tackle them with every character. Unlock 4 secret characters.

3. Pokémon Puzzle League (N64)

Block puzzler game kind of like Tetris but Pokémon makeover. 

 The objective of this game is to clear blocks from the playfield by arranging them in horizontal or vertical lines of three or more blocks. Unlike Tetris in this a continuous stream of new blocks pushes up from the bottom of the playfield, causing the entire playfield to rise continuously. 

The player will loose if the blocks reach the top of the playfield.

4. Jet Force Gemini (N64)

Jet Force Gemini(1999) is a third-person shooter developed and published by Rare for the Nintendo 64 video game console. 

The storyline of the game starts with three members of a galactic law enforcement team as they try to stop a horde of drones led by Mizar(an insectoid) . 

It features a single-player mode and also includes a multiplayer mode where two to four players can compete together in deathmatch games.

5. Rayman 2: The Great Escape (N64)

                                       

Rayman 2: The Great Escape video game was launched in 1999 developed by Ubi Pictures and published by Ubi Soft for the Nintendo 64, Microsoft Windows, Sega Dreamcast and Sony PlayStation. 

The game main character is Rayman, who is on a mission of saving the fantastical land of the Fairy Glade from an army of robotic pirates which is led by Admiral Razorbeard.

Rayman 2 was critically acclaimed for its graphics, gameplay and accessibility.

6. Mario Party (N64)

Video game released in Japan (December 14, 1998), North America (February 8, 1999), Europe and Australia  (March 9, 1999)

Mario Party It is a party video game that features six playable characters: Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Wario, and Donkey Kong. 

storyline: Mario and his friends argue about which of them is the "Super Star", upon whom the entire world can depend upon.

7. Doom 64 (N64)

Doom 64 is a first-person shooter video game by Midway Games. It was first released for the Nintendo 64 in 1997

Nightdive Studios developed a remastered port   and published by Bethesda Softworks for Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in March 2020, and for Stadia in May 2020.

Its graphics, level design, soundtrack, and general atmosphere was highly appreciated and it also gained a cult following, with several fan-made PC source ports and mods.

8. Mario Tennis (N64)

Mario Tennis (2000) video game developed by Camelot Software Planning and was published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. 

Following Mario's Tennis, it is the second game in the Mario Tennis series. The game is better known for being the introduction of Luigi's arch-rival, Waluigi, and also the re-introduction of Princess Daisy and Birdo.

9. Mario Kart 64 (N64)

Mario Kart 64 was developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 which is a kart racing video game. It was also released for the iQue Player in China in 2003.

The game is the second main entry in the Mario Kart series and is the successor to Super Mario Kart for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. 

The game was first released in Japan on December 14, 1996, in North America on February 10, 1997 and in the United Kingdom on June 24, 1997.

10.Wave Race 64 (N64)

Wave Race 64 is a racing video game was developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo. 

It is a follow-up to the 1992 Game Boy title Wave Race and

it was released in 1996  for the Nintendo 64. 

In this game players race on Jet Skis in different weather conditions and on a variety of different courses. The game has three single-player modes (Championship, Time Trials, and Stunt Mode) and also as a multiplayer mode. 

There are Up to four levels of difficulty Normal, Hard, Expert and Reverse.

11. F-Zero X (N64)

F-Zero X is a futuristic racing video game for the Nintendo 64 console. It was developed by Nintendo's EAD division, In 1998 it was released in Japan, North America, and Europe. 

It also has a expansion Kit including a track and vehicle editor. 

It is a sequel to the original F-Zero (1990) video game, and is the first F-Zero installment with 3D graphics.

This game has 5 different gameplay modes: GP (Grand Prix) Race, Practice, Time Attack, Death Race, and VS Battle.

12. Star Fox 64 (N64)

Star Fox 64 was also known as Lylat Wars in the PAL regions, is a 3D rail shooter video game developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64.

The game was highly appreciated for its precise controls, voice acting, multiplayer modes.

The game has sold over 4 million copies, making it the best-selling game in the series 

The game takes place in "Corridor Mode", which forces Fox's vehicle down an on-rails path straight forward through the environment and also has multiplayer and boss fights, which takes place in All-Range Mode.

13. Super Mario 64 (N64)

Super Mario 64 game for the Nintendo 64 was developed by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development and published by Nintendo, 

it happens to be the first Super Mario game that features 3D gameplay, combining traditional Super Mario gameplay, visual style, and characters in a large open world.

14. GoldenEye 007 (N64)

GoldenEye 007 is a first-person shooter developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 in 1997. It is based on the James Bond film GoldenEye (1995), the player controls the secret agent James Bond through a series of levels to prevent a criminal syndicate from using a satellite weapon. There is a multiplayer mode in which up to four players can compete in several deathmatch scenarios via split-screen.

15. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)

It is a action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. It was released in Japan and North America in November 1998

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has to be the greatest single-player video game ever created in any genre in my view. Seriously it's that good. Hero, Link, starts the game as a young boy living in a magical forest village populated by elf-like children. But there is evil lurking in the world. Strange monsters are appearing, and the land is changing. It's up to Link to discover why, defeat the monsters, and stop the evil at its source.
